    Hi,

I have never flown on the coast of Baltic sea but I will reflect what others have posted to the forum.

There are legal issues for flying in Curonian Spit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curonian_Spit) – environment protection agencies prohibit soaring there.

There was good experience flying in the coast of Latvia – place is called Jurkalne (http://www.jurkalne.lv/). Our pilots have done flights in excess of 30km on the ridge.

    Regards,
    Darius

    Hello Ake,

There are two main coastal sites in Lithuania near Baltic sea. One of them is called “Smiltyne”, for West and NW winds 6-7m/s. Sand dunes 10 m. high.
    ” class=”bbcode_url”>Google maps

Second one faces “kursiu marios” lagoon, for East winds, 110 degrees. 5-6m/s wind. ” class=”bbcode_url”>Google maps

I guess there are no english guide about Lithuania sites- you are first one who requested it. Don’t hesitate to PM me if any questions.

    Br,
    Donatas
